Use this page to report a file processed by filedone, to complain about the service, or to appeal a decision. You do not need an account. Nothing made with filedone is published or shared by us — there are no public links or galleries, and every result is deleted two hours after upload — so a report is usually about one file that one person made.
Grievance officer
Sarmad Bashir Zargar, grievance officer under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, for Sarmad Bashir Zargar, sole proprietor, trading as filedone, Down Town, Sopore, Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir 193201, India. Email: grievance@filedone.ai. This is a one-person company and no alternate contact is named; the automatic action described below is designed to protect people within the response times even when nobody is awake.
What happens the moment a report arrives
- Automatically, before any person reads it: every file the report points to — a job id, a download link, a file fingerprint or the provenance id printed in a file's label — is made undownloadable, and its fingerprint is added to a blocklist so the same content cannot be uploaded or produced again.
- You receive an acknowledgement with a reference number and the date and time by which we will respond. The law requires it within 24 hours; it is normally sent automatically straight away. If the report does not identify a file we can find, the acknowledgement says so and a person will look for it by hand.
- A person then reviews it and decides. The automatic action is reversible: if the report was mistaken or made in bad faith, the block is lifted and the decision is logged.
- Reports sent by email are treated as the most urgent category until a person has read them, so nothing waits on triage.
Response times
Every report is acknowledged within 24 hours. The clock for resolution starts when the report is received, not when it is read:
| Report | Resolved within |
|---|---|
| Intimate imagery, a deepfake, or a morphed image of a person (India, IT Rules) | 2 hours |
| A court order or a lawful direction from a government or police authority | 3 hours |
| Other content alleged to be unlawful — fraud, forgery, impersonation, copyright, defamation | 36 hours |
| Non-consensual intimate imagery, notice under United States law | 48 hours |
| A general complaint or question | 7 days |
We are not a "covered platform" under the United States TAKE IT DOWN Act, because we host no public content; we aim to follow the same 48-hour process anyway. A US notice should include your signature, enough to identify the depiction, a good-faith statement that it was published without consent, and contact details.
Report a file
The more you can give us, the faster the automatic action lands: the file itself, the job id, the download link, or the provenance id in the file's label (it starts with fd1). A description alone still creates a report; a person will then search by hand.
A file used for fraud
If a document that came out of filedone was used to deceive you — an edited statement, a doctored certificate, a forged invoice — report it above as "other unlawful content", or as a court or police direction if you are writing on behalf of one. The file itself was deleted two hours after it was made, but for one year we hold its fingerprint, the tool that made it, the automated decision about the document class, and who ran the job. If the file has not been changed since it left us, we can usually tell you whether it came from us and what it carries. We do not give a reporter the identity of the person who ran the job unless the law requires it — for example a court order, or a lawful direction from the police or a government authority.
If your own download is blocked
A file that a report has withdrawn cannot be downloaded, and the message says so. If you believe the report was mistaken, write to grievance@filedone.ai with the job id. Remember that every result is deleted at two hours in any case.
Appeals
If you disagree with a decision — a refused edit, a blocked file, a closed account, or the outcome of your report — reply to the acknowledgement quoting its reference, or write to the grievance officer. Because this is a one-person company the appeal is read by the same officer, but against the logged record rather than from memory, and the reasons are given in writing. In India you may also appeal a decision of the grievance officer to the Grievance Appellate Committee constituted by the Central Government under rule 3A of the IT Rules 2021, within the time those rules allow.
Requests about personal data
Access, correction, erasure and consent withdrawal are handled by the same officer at the same address; the privacy notice says what each one does.
