What this tool does

Use this when your invoice is a scan, a photocopy or a phone photo rather than a PDF with text in it. The page is straightened, read character by character with OCR, and the line-item table is found from where the text sits; each description, quantity, rate and amount goes into its own cell. Every value came out of an image, so some will be wrong: the cells the reader was least sure about are marked, and where a column is supposed to add up to the invoice total the numbers are checked against it. A figure that does not add up is reported, never quietly corrected.

The values in this file were read from your document by AI, and they can be wrong — check them against the original before you rely on them. Your document itself is not altered.

What happens to your file

Deleted from our servers after 2 hours. We do not train AI on your files, and the terms of our AI providers do not allow them to; they may keep request logs for up to 55 days, longer for a request they flag for abuse.

Uploads and outputs are deleted after 2 hours, whether or not you download them. Provider request logs are kept for at most 55 days. Details on the privacy page.

Questions

How do I know whether my invoice PDF is scanned?

Try to select a line of text with your mouse. If it highlights, the PDF has text in it and the ordinary invoice page will do a faster, better job. If you can only draw a box over the page, it is a scan and this is the right page.

What happens to the file I upload?

It is deleted from our servers after two hours, whether or not you download the result, and it is not used to train anything. The page is sent to the OCR provider and the AI provider that reads the table grid during the job; they do not train on it and keep request logs for at most 55 days, longer only for a request they flag for abuse.

Does it fix totals that do not add up?

No. If the line items do not sum to the total printed on the invoice, you are told; the figures are left exactly as they were read. Quietly editing numbers on someone's invoice is not something a conversion tool should do.

What does it cost?

One credit per page, shown before anything runs. Running it needs an account: signing up is free, and new accounts get 20 credits, which is twenty pages.

Will it work on a photo taken with my phone?

Often, if the whole invoice is in frame, flat and in focus. A photo at an angle, in shadow or with the page curling reads worse than a flatbed scan, and no processing recovers detail that was never captured.
